The National Monument Oranjehotel offers various educational programs for students from Primary Education, Secondary Education or MBO. At the place where it really happened, students are introduced to the history of the Oranjehotel and the social significance it still has today. The programs are in Dutch only.

Our story shows that freedom cannot be taken for granted and what can happen if the people lose the protection of their rights and freedoms. What is it like to live in a country where your freedom is restricted and you are no longer allowed to do what you want?

Using personal stories from prisoners, the students discover the permanent exhibition and visit the impressive Cel 601, one of the death cells, which has been preserved in its original state since 1946.
